I’ve modified a lot of portraits, but never with the aim of making the end result resemble someone.
For this project I was asked by a friend to modify a painting for her mother’s 80th birthday. I found a portrait of a woman with a slight resemblance at an estate sale, then went about matching it to a photo.


Here, I use an image of the “before” as a prop easel.
