I hesitated in modifying this thrift store painting of a curious man in a sombrero for a few years. I did not want to paint over its weirdness. The solution seemed to be to give him a companion doll that I found at an estate sale. This adds to a handful of paintings that I have altered with found objects, rather than paint.

ABOUT
I take bad and discarded art, generally from thrift stores, and ‘improve’ on them. For a complete collection of my art, a term I use very loosely, go to matthewfranck.com/portfolio
